My name is Kathy Boston-Mammah and I came from the UK in September 2011 to work at the Gender Centre as a Resource Mobilisation Advisor through the international charity VSO. When I first came here I knew something about gender inequality in Africa but nothing prepares you for the personal testimonies of the people involved.
In the UK I was a Grants Manager with over fifteen years of grant and project management experience working with the government, private business donors and a range of local and international NGOs. Now I’m looking into how the Gender Centre can diversify its income streams and move ahead in an ever changing funding climate.
In my spare time I like meeting up with friends, listening to music, and dancing; I am in an African dance group and designing Ghanaian dresses.
